“Sea daffodil” inspired Dreidel.
-Pewter metal casting, silver and gold plating.
Year / 2019
I chose to design a dreidel because I felt that it could mimic the delicate "jeweled" forms that I saw in the plant seeds.
The spinning movement of the dreidel replicates the seed dispersal by the wind.
Development Process
A dreidel (spinning top) inspired by Sea Daffodil plant seeds.
The seeds are dispersed by the wind and swept far along the Mediterranean seashore allowing the plant’s reproductive process.
