Development Process
As part of a studio course, we were required to design tools for a chosen profession.
I chose to work with a jeweler who makes rings in large series.
This jeweler mainly used polishing and processing machines on the outside of the ring and found it difficult to grasp the interior safely and precisely.
I was shocked when I saw that he preferred to hold the ring with his fingers and risk injury so he could work the ring as he pleased.
Which is why I designed a tool that allows the ring to be held safely and securely.
